Might be a little late but we’re always on time. For the first time ever on The Come Up Podcast airwaves, we have both myself and Hawk on the mix. For longtime fans, this is almost like a mini-reunion, since the last time we were on the air together was back in 2004, for our college radio show at USC. We’ve both gotten a little older and wiser since then, but the selection quality has remained the same. For my mix, I’ve thrown together a collection of new music, totally recorded live in one take. It is a tribute of sorts to the style of late night mix shows. Meanwhile, Hawk has gathered pure energy, distilled into 20 minutes of sweaty european electronic funk. It is a nod to the rising popularity of electronic music. With our forces combined, we present to you Back to the Future, the latest in The Come Up Podcast series.

The Burn 1 mixtape was a work in progress but it got stolen…..last I heard, someone found it in an Amtrak going up to Canada.
