This past Caliwood was crackin, thanks to everyone who came out!  We gave Linotype a nice send off to Australia with an abundance of drinks.  Spingineer celebrated his Bday with a dope, old school video set that got people doing the Roger Rabbit.  Combined with a few more random birthdays, Caliwood turned into a house party and got a little nutty.  Girls were rubbin up on Deuce, people were bringing their dancing A game, and the bartenders couldn’t keep up with the thristy crowd.  Good times people, we’ll be back on April 9!

Wattup Y’all!  After a short break, I’m back with another Podcast for all of y’all to indulge in.  An ode to Atlanta, this mix features ATL artists with songs that mostly don’t go past the 2000’s… I think…  Anyways, this is part of the region mix series between Spingineer and I - a follow up to his Houston mix.  I never really got into much music from the ATL other than Outkast and Goodie Mob, but after mixing this podcast, I have a very new respect for Atlanta Hip Hop. This mix is soulful and gritty, something to listen to when you’re cruising in your car, fantasizing about the Dirty South.  Hope you likes, peace =)

Podcast Vol. 13 - Yacht Rock Steady by Siik & LinoType

Right on schedule, it is yet another Come Up Podcast.  This edition features the return of Siik and LinoType on the airwaves.  Siik comes through with some 80’s electro flavor, in the Paul Hardcastle and Strafe side of things.  He also realizes there are some train wrecks in there, but felt it best to leave them in.  Lino ventures the high seas with his first yacht rock mix.  He’d be remiss without acknowledging the following influences: the highly entertaining web series on Channel 101, Yacht Rock; and an extremely helpful thread on the message boards of okayplayer.com.  Have fun with it.
