Come Up Crew residents Spingineer, Mike Deuce, LinoType, and Siik will also be holding it down as usual.
Don’t forget that this will also be the last Come Up at the Terrace in Pasadena. After this month we will take a shot hiatus, so make sure to get your Come Up fix this weekend!
The Come Up
featuring special guest DJ Jedi
This Saturday, July 25
@ The Terrace
443 E. Colorado Blvd.
Pasadena, CA
21+ | $10, $5 RSVP or w/flier
Presented by The Come Up Crew and The Noise Academy
DJ Jedi has had a very full career thus far. While touring with Digable Planets, Jedi has done every major festival, from Coachella in Indio to Sonar in Barcelona. He’s toured the country as the DJ for the Def Poetry tour, he’s won an Emmy, and is currently a resident the legendary Root Down crew and the Modern Audio Collective (with J-Logic and Dam Funk).
In his own words:
While Jedi’s influences may stem primarily from hip hop culture, he also carries a deeply rooted appreciation for the classic soul, funk, jazz, rock, dance, and pop music that hip hop so heavily draws from. He believes strongly in the power of music to bring people of different cultures and backgrounds together in ways that they otherwise wouldn’t, and is never too proud to whore out his services for weddings, bar mitzvahs, industry showcases, and birthday parties.
With that said, make sure to check out DJ Jedi this Saturday at The Come Up. Check out this mix from last week’s Do Over, where he was one of the guests.
Yo, so the Come Up Crew has a new spot to blow up! Lost Souls Cafe in Downtown LA just got their liquor license, so we’re gonna make sure they get their inventory drunk. SOUND THERAPY is coming at you this Saturday, July 18 from 7PM-11PM, making it LA’s freshest pre-party. So take a trip to 4th and Main in DTLA, and party with us!
The Come Up Podcast Vol. 11 is here and ready to invade your stereo! Dumlao and Spingineer put together a lovely mix of underground Hip Hop, going back to their roots. Smooth mixes, sick mashups, and clean slams: a recipe for a dope podcast. From Pac to Tribe, get ready to sit back in your chair and turn your headphones up, it’s gonna be a chill ride…
